Welcome to Toodle. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Toodle mobile application ("App") and website ("Site").

By using Toodle, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve the Toodle service:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google's OAuth service.
• Task Data: Tasks, themes, priorities, dates, and any content you create within the app.
• Usage Data: Basic analytics such as app opens, feature usage, and crash reports to help us improve the product.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Toodle app and its features
• Sync your tasks across sessions via cloud storage (Google Firebase)
• Send notifications you have opted into (reminders, daily summaries)
• Respond to your support requests and feedback
• Improve the app based on usage patterns and crash data
• Communicate updates, new features, and important notices

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using industry-standard encryption.

Access to your personal data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate and improve the service. We regularly review our security practices.

4. Third-Party Services

Toodle uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Cloud database, authentication, and hosting. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0): For secure authentication. See Google Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Export your data at any time using the in-app Export feature (Settings → Backup & Restore)
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of notifications at any time via device settings or in-app settings

7. Children's Privacy

Toodle is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, sending you an in-app notification. Continued use of Toodle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The Toodle website may use minimal cookies for session management and analytics. The mobile app does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can control cookie settings through your browser.
